Knitting and Sewing

The vision is to provide vocational training and employment opportunities to unemployed women.

Knitting

The goal is to engage seniors and give them a meaningful part time job where they can earn an income.

Wool is provided and the finish product is purchased back at R25 a scarf.

These beautiful scarves are then distributed to over a 1000 pre-school children during winter.

We currently have 25 senior ladies that benefit from this project.

Sewing

The vision was to start a sewing project that would generate income and enable individuals to support their families.

By providing vocational training and employment opportunities, unemployed women are taught and empowered to be self-supportive. Currently four ladies benefit from this initiative on a full time basis.

Designed as a skills training initiative the project teaches women how to use modern sewing equipment. Our dream is to create a business that will continue to make high quality products long into the future.

Currently four ladies benefit from this initiative on a full time basis.
This initiative creates work for 20 ladies.
By instilling ownership we create a sense of pride and motivation. All the ladies are very conscientious of their work and how it affects their community.
